Multiliquid Seed Round Led by Polychain Brings Total Funding to $8M

Conceptual illustration of tokenized assets exchanging with stablecoins through a shared settlement hub

Uniform Labs, the developer of Multiliquid, announced on October 16 that it has closed a seed round led by Polychain, bringing the institutional liquidity protocol’s total funding to $8 million. Strobe Ventures, CMT Digital, Metalayer Ventures, Generative Ventures and Circle Ventures also participated, according to the company announcement.

The company describes tokenized assets, including Treasuries, money market funds, private credit and other real-world assets, as the fastest-growing frontier in institutional digital finance. It says adoption is still limited by traditional primary subscription and redemption processes that can take days to settle.

The release points to federal stablecoin frameworks such as the GENIUS Act, which it says prohibit payment stablecoin issuers from paying yield directly to holders. In that environment, the company argues, institutions need programmatic infrastructure to move between yield-bearing tokenized investments and transactional stablecoins around the clock, at scale and without balance-sheet drag.

Multiliquid says its neutral, compliance-first liquidity layer provides that infrastructure by allowing holders to exchange blue-chip tokenized assets and stablecoins in one atomic transaction. According to the company, the protocol supports tokenized funds from asset managers including Wellington Management, VanEck, Janus Henderson and Fasanara, alongside major stablecoins such as USDC.

Will Beeson, Multiliquid’s founder and CEO, said tokenization’s value depends on assets being liquid. He compared the role of onchain infrastructure with the deep repo facilities and overnight lending that keep liquidity moving in traditional capital markets. Beeson said support from Polychain and the other participating investors validates the company’s focus on liquidity and continuous settlement as the next foundational layer for institutional adoption.

Polychain founder Olaf Carlson-Wee said tokenized assets are gaining traction but liquidity remains a bottleneck. He described Multiliquid as a connecting layer that lets institutions move between tokenized funds and stablecoins across issuers and venues, and cited Beeson’s market experience as a reason for backing the project.
