Mintable Joins Forces with Singapore’s Ministry of Sustainability & the Environment to Launch Kid-Friendly NFT Eco Treasure Hunt at CDL’s Youth4Climate Festival 2025

As part of the Singapore Sustainability Festival, the Youth4Climate Festival 2025 will take place from June 6–8 at City Square Mall, aiming to engage families in environmental awareness and inspire sustainable living — a real-world use case in the spirit of NFTs moving beyond art.
Mintable, a Singapore-based NFT marketplace, will deploy its innovative gasless NFT technology for an interactive Eco Trail Treasure Hunt at the festival — the same B2B utility-NFT tech its Mintology arm later brought to the Singapore Business Show — Held in collaboration with City Developments Limited (CDL), the initiative is part of the broader Singapore Sustainability Festival organized by the Singapore Innovation Centre, in support of Go Green SG and backed by the SG Eco Fund.
Partnering with City Developments Limited (CDL), the Singapore Innovation Centre, the Asia Blockchain Association, and the Sustainability Alliance, Mintable’s B2B utility NFT arm, Mintology, will power the Eco Adventure card game via the blockchain — part of the broader multi-chain NFT movement —, enabling participants to collect five unique “Green Stop” NFTs. These digital badges are scanned at various eco-friendly installations throughout the mall and come complete with mini sustainability lessons —all without needing prior Web3 knowledge.
Some of the lessons include upcycling workshops, materials exploration, lessons on the importance of trees and the impact of visual upcycled art in changing the perceptions of wider society. All lessons are designed to be kid-friendly and interactive, blending cutting-edge web3 technology with real-world engagement.
Once participants collect all five NFTs, they’re eligible to enter the Youth4Climate Festival and Singapore Sustainability Festival’s lucky draw for prizes, combining fun, education, and technology to encourage youth engagement with climate action. The campaign demonstrates how NFTs can be seamlessly integrated into government-supported green initiatives and drive mass adoption of Web3 in a sustainability-first setting.

On the partnership, Zach Burks, CEO of Mintable, said, “We welcome this partnership with Go Green SG. Web3 continues to become more important to everyday life, and education is one area where there is a real opportunity to engage young people through interaction. In a world that is becoming dominated by screen time, it is vital to build functionality that supports a balanced approach and promotes healthy digital attitudes into the next generation. We are excited by the potential of the gasless minting technology deployed into the treasure hunt and will continue working with key government bodies to build future solutions that help everyday individuals better interact with the world around them.”
